Volunteers Needed: LHWHS Career Exploration Day

Volunteers needed to share about their careers with high school students at Ladue Compass: ’Due North — a career exploration event designed to help students identify their own “true north” for the future.

Ladue Horton Watkins High School

Thursday, February 26, 2026

9:00–11:00 AM

It makes such a difference when professionals take time to talk with our students. Students genuinely appreciate hearing what your days look like, what you’ve learned, and what you wish you’d known sooner.

Find out more and sign up to participate on this Registration Link.

  • Career Pathways: the event is organized by interest areas — healthcare, finance, engineering, arts and media, tech, public service, trades, entrepreneurship, hospitality, and more. It mirrors what students see in school (mandated by the state) and helps them make clearer connections.

  • Students Choose You: Each professional will meet with small groups of 2–10 students who specifically selected your field. It’s deeper, more relevant, and a much more meaningful use of your time.

  • No presentations — just conversation: No slides, no speeches. Just honest small-group discussions about how you got from “there” to “here.”

  • All careers welcome: Traditional paths, creative paths, niche specialties, emerging industries — if it exists, there’s a student who wants to learn about it.
