Book Fair: Volunteers Needed

Spoede Book Fair will be the week of February 23!

Volunteers are needed to set up the fair, assist with sales during class library times, assist during movie night, and take down the fair.

School-Wide Collection to support the Little Bit Foundation

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Spoede is participating in an MLK Service Project to support Little Bit Foundation.

Donation bins will be located in the wet labs for each grade level. We encourage families to participate and help our students practice service and kindness in our community.

Kindergarten Registration for 2026-27 is Open

Children who will be 5-years-old before Aug. 1 are eligible to attend kindergarten this upcoming school year. If you have an incoming kindergartner, registration is now open!

LHWHS Student-Sponsored After-School Clubs

There are two upcoming events at Spoede that are sponsored and supervised by current Ladue Horton Watkins High School students and staff. Please see the descriptions and registration links of each program below for more information and payment instructions.

Monday, January 26 - Finance Forward (One Day Only!)

Finance Forward is a Ladue DECA student-run initiative designed to introduce Spoede Elementary 3rd and 4th graders to the basics of financial literacy through an engaging, age-appropriate workshop led by a Edward Jones Advisor. Students will explore foundational money concepts in a fun and interactive setting while building confidence and understanding around real-world financial skills.

Beginning Wednesday, January 28 - Girls for Golf

The Girls for Golf STL program is a Ladue student run initiative at Spoede Elementary that offers 2nd to 4th-Grade girls an enriching opportunity to learn golf fundamentals while building confidence and fostering teamwork. Over the course of six sessions, participants will develop a basic understanding of the sport and explore essential golf techniques through fun, hands-on activities and games.

Math Facts Scholars

Kindergarten students are now eligible to join the Math Facts Scholars program. New participants are welcome to register anytime. 

The program consists of at-home practice books and Tuesday morning quiz sessions before school.

Kids Camp Ladue

Registration is now open for Kids Camp Ladue for Summer 2026!

Location: Reed Elementary School

Session 1: June 8 - 18

Session 2: June 22 - July 3

Session 3: July 6 - 17

Ages: Kids entering grades 1-6

*There is also a preschool camp for kids ages 3 - Kindergarten at LECC.

To register, print out the registration form and waiver. Mail the forms and $50 deposit per session to Ladue Middle School, Attn: Martin Long.

Ladue Basketball Chili Supper

Friday, January 23

5:00 - 7:00 PM

LHWHS Cafeteria

This fun-filled evening supports our Ladue basketball teams while enjoying a hearty chili supper! 

Tickets include a full meal—meat or veggie chili, drinks, and dessert—along with admission to the Freshman, JV, and Varsity girls’ and boys’ basketball games.

or $10 at the door.

Note: the chili is gluten-free but not dairy-free.

Community Chess Tournament

Laduettes Wicked Dance Clinic

Saturday, January 31

1 - 4 PM

Ladue Horton Watkins High School

Open to children in grades K-6.

$45 registration fee includes dance registration, t-shirt and snack.

Participants are invited to perform at the Laduettes National Showcase Sendoff on Sunday, Feb. 8.
